Aaron Chang is an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer. He sells his amazing work in physical stores and now also sells globally online.

The Requirment

Aaron Chang has two beautiful galleries in California. When Covid-19 hit, like many others, Aaron’s physical stores were severely impacted. He & his team were able to act quickly and move to selling his amazing art online.

They already had a WordPress website and had created a store using WooCommerce but decided they wanted to move to Shopify instead. We worked with the team under a tight deadline to create a new Shopify store ready for their Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale.

Our Solution

First we had to work out the pages and the designs required for the new Shopify build. We also needed to understand what was set up in WooCommerce and how to migrate that across to Shopify.

The shipping requirements of this Shopify store were very tricky because shipping costs are calculated based on dimension, which is not a standard Shopify feature. We therefore had to find an app that met the complex shipping requirements of needing to ship fine art in different sizes, including surfboards!
